Transactional Leadership, Effective Commitment, and Workplace Deviance: Does Onboarding Experience Moderate the Relationship? Evidence from Nigeria

Workplace Deviance (WD) as a global phenomenon has become pervasive among academics and thorn in the flesh of management Nigerian high institutions. How to mitigate it major concern policymakers researchers. Based on precepts social exchange organisational support theories, we examined relationships between Transactional leadership (TL), Affective commitment (AC) WD. Using moderated mediation model, this paper also how Onboarding experience (OE) moderates mediated relationship TL WD through AC. Partial least square-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was used analyse data elicited from 308 participants cross-sectional design conducted across federal polytechnics Northwestern Nigeria.
